Antwerp Primary

Indian River Antwerp Primary 4-H Afterschool program - provides afterschool academic support and enrichment along with the 4-H National mandates – Healthy Living, Citizenship, and Science. Students have access to teacher tutors to work in small group settings specifically aligning with their school day academic work. This program is funded by the 21 st Century Community Learning Center grant; there is no cost to attend.

Who Can Attend: This program is open to students in grades K-3 attending Antwerp Primary School.

Program Dates & Hours: Monday – Friday from school dismissal until 5:00 PM on every full day school is in session. No programming will be held on half days, early dismissal, or when afterschool activities are canceled.

Transportation: No transportation is provided for this program; parent pickup is no later than 5:00 PM.

Enrollment Instructions:  Enrollment into the program is held on a first come, first serve basis. Limited spaces are available. You will be notified when your child has been accepted into the program. Once the program is full, further enrollments will be placed on a waiting list.

Please complete the enrollment form with as much information as possible. Pay special attention to contact information, transportation authorization, and medical information. Your child may not start the program until all required enrollment information has been submitted.

Medication Consent Form & Instructions:  The program staff have emergency medication training and are able to administer emergency medication only. Examples of emergency medication include epi-pens, inhalers, and glucagons. For medication that is administered daily, please contact the school nurse and arrange for medication to be administered at the end of the school day. Please be aware that if your child requires emergency medication, you will need to provide an extra prescription to the site coordinator before your child can start the program.

IRIS

Indian River Intermediate School 4-H Afterschool Program- provides afterschool academic support and enrichment along with the 4-H National mandates-Healthy Living, Citizenship, and Science. Students have access to teacher tutors to work in small group settings specifically aligning with their school day academic work. This program is funded by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDea) grant; there is no cost to attend.

Who Can Attend: This program is for 4th and 5th graders who attend Indian River Intermediate School. Please contact Indian River Intermediate School to determine if your child is eligible to attend.

Program Dates and Hours: Tuesdays and Thursday from school dismissal until 4:45 p.m. on every regular full day of school. No programming will be held on half days, early dismissal, or when afterschool activities are canceled.

Transportation: Bussing is provided for this program. We dismiss to busses at 4:45 p.m. sharp. Please plan to pick your child up no later than 4:45 p.m. if they will not be riding the bus.

High School

Indian River High School 4-H Afterschool Program - provides afterschool academic support and enrichment along with the 4-H National mandates – Healthy Living, Citizenship, and Science. In addition, the program offers students career and job readiness life skills that include interviewing, public speaking, resume writing, introduction to careers, financial management education, entrepreneurship opportunities, and community development activities. This program is funded by the 21 st Century Community Learning Center grant; there is no cost to attend.

Who Can Attend: This program is open to students in grades 9-12 attending Indian River High School.

Program Dates & Hours: Monday – Friday from school dismissal until 5:00 PM on every full day school is in session. No programming will be held on half days, early dismissal or when afterschool activities are canceled. Arrow Tutoring Program: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:30-4:30. Makerspace Program: TBA. Other program times and dates may vary.

Transportation: Transportation is provided for this program; alternatively youth may be picked up at 5:00 PM or may sign themselves out with parent permission.
