Military Families

Jefferson County is unique in that the Army’s 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum is located within our geographic boundaries. Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County considers ourselves privileged to offer educational programs that support the nearly 18,000 soldiers and 18,000 military family members who are committed to serving our country and protecting our freedoms.

Through long standing partnerships with Fort Drum, we are proud of the programs we offer and support in order to assist military families. For example, we work with Soldier and Family Readiness Division to assist with programs that are designed to enhance quality of life, promote resilience and self-reliance, and provide stability during war and peace for both individuals and families.
