Military Families

Jefferson County is unique in that we host the Army’s 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum. Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County consider ourselves privileged to provide education programs that support the nearly 18,000 soldiers and 18,000 military family members that are committed to protecting and serving our freedoms.

Through long standing partnerships with Fort Drum we are proud of the programs we offer and support to assist military families. For example, we work with Army Community Services to assist with eight programs that do everything from help families new to the North Country call this home to help military families struggling with the stresses of deployment or reunion know what to expect and how to adjust.
