About the Position:

This position will serve as a Part-Time Educator for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) with a focus primarily on providing breastfeeding education and support for low income individuals and families. This position will be responsible for the delivery of established EFNEP programming and activities, both on-site and off-site and will include: one-on-one teaching, home visitation, demonstrations, newsletters, and group workshops. Although the main focus will be on breastfeeding, other program topics may include, but are not limited to: food and nutrition throughout the lifecycle, food safety, food preparation, physical activity, and basic budgeting. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent education (GED/High School Diploma and 1 year transferrable program/functional experience).
  • Breastfeeding/Lactation education training (IBCLC, CLC or commensurate hands-on experience).
  • Experience relevant to the role of the position.

About the Position:

The Shared Business Network (SBN) Finance Lead/Finance Manager will provide high-level leadership, direction and management of Finance operations for the expanded Shared Business Network (SBN) Administrative Hub in the Central and Northern Regions. This position will provide specialized, high level leadership and recommendations in finance functions, to include, but not be limited to: managing and monitoring regional finance projects; leading the development of new regional accounting/finance policies, procedures and action plans; creating regional financial strategies that adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and Cornell Cooperative Extension guidelines, finance policies, procedures, and action plans; developing and implementing improved financial reporting; providing leadership and high-level consultation/support for the development of Association budgets, and developing and implementing finance training for local Association Finance staff. This position will provide overall leadership, management, coordination and training for the rollout and implementation of the new Blackbaud Accounting System in support of both the Central and the Northern Regions. This position will be located in Jefferson County, New York.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Education (Associate’s Degree and 2 years of program/functional experience).
  • Two (2) years of experience working in an advanced Finance Management role delivering high-level Finance support and services
  • Experience to include budget preparation and management, accounts receivable/payable tracking, expense/revenue tracking, cash flow tracking, reconciliation, reporting, compliance, and grants/contracts management.
  • Valid Driver’s License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.

Key Responsiblities:

The After-School Makerspace Educator will support programming in the Watertown School District, specifically Watertown High School. The Makerspace Program is an individualized open learning environment that operates in the school’s makerspace. The program allows high school students the opportunity to learn how to use technology to create prototypes and custom products using equipment such as 3D printers, laser engravers, woodworking tools and more. The Educator will work with the Watertown City School District 4-H After-School Program Site Coordinator, as well as school district staff to design and implement a Makerspace Program curriculum, oversee safety procedures when working with tools and help students design products.
