Details of Positions: P/T, 6 hrs/wk, $20.00 per hour

About the Positions:

These positions will serve as a Teacher Tutors for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County in support of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Program and will provide intensive remedial assistance as well as assistance with homework to students enrolled in the 21st CCLC Program during the academic study portion of the program.The 21st CCLC Program provides comprehensive youth development opportunities for youth in grades K-12 from the school district. The Teacher-Tutors will coordinate with other Program Educators and the Program Coordinator to implement this portion of the program. These positions will represent Cornell Cooperative Extension to the general public, community leaders and government officials in a professional manner. Will appreciate and embrace diversity in all interactions with clientele, staff, volunteers, and the public. These positions are responsible for carrying out other professional duties as assigned to fulfill the policies and priorities of the Association. These positions will support the Association to maintain a safe working environment and act proactively to prevent accidents/injuries and communicate hazards to supervisors when identified. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education.

About the Positions: These positions will serve as After School Program Coordinators for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County in support of After School Programming initiatives in the school districts listed above. The After School Program provides comprehensive youth development opportunities for youth from the school district. The Program Coordinators will provide program coordination and supervision to assist the After School Director in ensuring the program meets health, safety and licensing standards and offers a quality youth development educational experience. These positions will assist with After School Program academic improvement initiatives, meeting the program objectives/goals and working with the Outside Evaluators on evaluation protocols. These positions will utilize existing program resources and materials in program work, and will assist in delivering educational programs as defined. The Program Coordinators will provide supervision to Association Temporary Program positions assigned to the After School Program.

Required Qualifications for Positions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (Associate’s Degree and 2 years of transferrable program/functional experience).

Work Location: Indian River School District

About the Positions: These positions will serve as an After-School Program Educators for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County in support of the Indian River Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Program and will provide comprehensive 4-H youth development opportunities for youth in grades 4-5 in the Indian River Central School District, specifically the Indian River Intermediate School. These positions will provide established guidance and direction for program participants and after-school activities, including club and life skills, as well as assisting the collaborating teachers during the academic study portion of the program. These positions will provide instruction utilizing established 4-H curriculum in the areas of environmental science and natural resources, science, technology engineering, art and math (STEAM). These positions will utilize existing program resources and materials in program work, assist in the creation of program lesson plans, utilize a variety of delivery methods and assist in delivering established innovative educational programs as assigned. These positions will also have the opportunity to provide staffing and/or programming coverage, as needed, for other Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County After-School Programs.

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent education (GED/High School Diploma and 1 year transferrable/program experience).
  • Experience relevant to the role of the position.
