4-H Agri-Business Career Conference - 2024 dates TBA. They will be following a similar format of a traditional event with local business tours along with events and activities on the SUNY Cobleskill campus. This event is for teens 14 and up. International Exchange Outbound Program is now open. New York State is excited to be able to partner with States’ 4-H Outbound Program https://smr.to/p84038 once again to offer this opportunity to the youth of NYS. Download the application for 2023

Agri-Science Summit - Youth in grades 9-12 are eligible for participation. The New York State 4-H office has allocated some funding to financially support the registration fee and supplement other expenses and logistics (travel, meals) related to the trip. If you are interested in attending the summit and serving as a chaperone to the NYS 4-H group, you’ll be supported through the CCE Professional Development funds. The NYS 4-H Office can facilitate this process. Funding allocated to assist is limited. Ideally, we could support a group of 1 adult to 4 youth to represent New York State to this summit. The National Youth Summit Series are immersive, three-day experiences where youth dive into the issues, expand their career horizons and grow as a leader while working with and learning from other teens and experts with shared passions. The summits are an opportunity for youth and educators to share best practices within the topic area, meet and work with people from across the country, and work with fellow 4-Hers on action plans that will work to affect change in your community. Dairy Discovery - Dairy Discover will take place in-person at Cornell University at Morrison Hall. This event takes a whole-farm approach and touches on many different aspects of dairy management. Youth will rotate through six different stations. This is a hands-on science orientated learning experience in dairy production and management. Youth must be 14-19 years of age. 4-H STARR Event - STARR, also known as the State Teen Action Reps Retreat, is an annual weekend for 4-H teens from across New York State to get together to build leadership skills as well as network with peers and adults from across the state. STARR encompasses the best of team building activities, youth community action & youth adult partnerships in one fun-filled, fast-paced weekend. Participants gain new skills and knowledge by attending workshops of their choice, learning how to “make the best better” and participate in awesome community services activities! Please join us for an exciting opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge all while making new friends and having FUN! 2025 dates TBA

Animal Crackers Cornell University, in-person; This year Animal Crackers is highlighting four species! They will include bovine, goat, equine and dog! If you have never been to Animal Crackers before, this is geared to 4-H members involved in animal science projects. The suggested age range is 8-12 years old, but anyone over 8 is welcome! The fee is $20.00 per youth. Chaperones are free. If you are interested you must register through Jefferson County 4-H and you must be enrolled in 4-H or enroll at time of registration. 4-H Capitol Days - 4-H Capital Days is a NYSACCE4-HE sponsored event that gives youth an opportunity to meet and interact with legislators and tell their 4-H story. 4-H Capital Days creates awareness of career opportunities in New York State government, better understand state government, and network with delegates from other counties. Delegates are chosen by their county 4-H program. Registration is open and you can find it on the 4-H website2025 dates TBA

4-H Career Explorations - For over 90 years, the New York State 4-H Office has hosted the annual Career Explorations Conference on the Cornell Campus. Nearly 500 4-H youth and chaperones attend the action-packed, three-day event to immerse themselves in exploring their future education, career opportunities, and to experience Cornell University and campus life! Cornell faculty and graduate students conduct engaged-learning workshops in two age-specific tracks: (1) Focus for Teens programs for youth entering grades 10-12; (2) University U programs for youth entering grades 8-9. Over 20 programs are offered to help youth understand what a particular career field entails, what type of education they would need to pursue, and to learn from the experiences of the Program Facilitators. June 26 - June 28, 2024
