Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the oversight, implementation, and marketing of the Parenting Educator Credential program. 
  • Work with the Executive and Steering Committees, as well as relevant workgroups, to implement best practice strategies and recommendations. 
  • Be responsible for the credential application process, recruitment and training of Parenting Educator Credential mentors, and promoting the Parenting Educator Credential and the importance of quality parenting education throughout NYS. 
  • Further develop and grow the New York State Parenting Educator Credential program. 

Required Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both youth and family education using pre-approved lesson plans and curricula, specifically for households in the Watertown area and the Fort Drum Military Installation. 
  • Coordinate, collaborate, design, and provide adult-supervised research-based programs for 200 youth between the ages of 10-13 annually. 
  • Recruit, train, and support 4-H volunteers to provide 4-H Club programming. 
  • Programming may take place afterschool, on weekends, during school breaks, and in the evenings, within the 40-hour work week (schedule may vary from week to week). 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (Associate’s Degree and 2 years of transferrable program/functional experience).
