Jefferson County Youth Livestock Auction

Youth Livestock Auction - Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM

The Youth Livestock Auction project areas include market beef, sheep, goat, and swine. 

Registration is open to any youth in Jefferson County. Youth must be enrolled in either 4-H, FFA, or FCCLA in Jefferson County to participate. If interested youth are not enrolled in 4-H, enrollment is free and easy! Simply fill out the NYS 4-H Enrollment Form.

A full 4-H member (age 8-18 as of January 1, 2023) may participate in the beef, poultry, sheep, goat, and swine categories. Cloverbuds (age 5-7 as of January 1, 2023) are welcome to participate in the market sheep and goat categories.

Interested in purchasing an animal?

Are you interested in purchasing an animal from our local Jefferson County youth? 

Youth market animals are a great investment. You are purchasing a local animal raised with love and care by an area youth. Jefferson and Lewis counties are home to quality USDA and custom-exempt meat processing facilities, and buyers will have their choice of where they would like their animals processed.
