Meet the Parenting Staff

Amanda Root: Amanda joined the Parenting Program in January 2003. She has one daughter who is now in college. She has lived in the North Country her whole life. Amanda’s goal for parenting education is to build on parents' strengths and help them be the best parent they can be for their children.

Karen Greene: Karen joined the CCE parenting program in March 2017 as a Family Support Specialist for the Healthy Families New York program. Karen has two adult children, is currently raising a niece, and is a native of Jefferson County. Karen’s parenting goal is to assist families in fostering a strong healthy bond with their children and creating a nurturing home environment.

Holly Rubacha: Holly joined the CCE parenting program in September 2021 as a Nutrition, Parenting, and Life Skills Educator. Holly has two children of her own and is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County. Holly's parenting goals are to educate using research-based information from the curriculum Magic and the Middle Years. Holly also educates parents using Parenting After Separation or Divorce curriculum, Life Skills curriculum, and Discipline is Not a Dirty Word curriculum.
