Celebrate Jefferson County's Cheesemaking Heritage! 

• Tour Historic Stone Mills and learn about Jefferson County's Dairy Heritage 
• Eat specialty cheese dishes at a local restaurant or food truck 
• Tour local dairy farms and sample cheese at participating locations 
• Watch cooking demonstrations using local cheese 
• Enter to win prizes and raffles 

Pick up your brochure and punch card at our office the week of the event, or your first stop the day of the event! 

Wondering where your first stop will be?! Choose any of the following businesses: 

• Stone Mills Museum - LaFargeville
  • 10 AM - 2 PM
  • Explore the historic Stone Mills Museum! You can also visit with staff from CCE Jefferson, get free cheese samples from Great Lakes Cheese, and watch a food demonstration (that involves cheese, of course!). 
• Watertown Saturday Farmers Market - Watertown 
  • 9 AM - 2 PM 
  • Visit with local producers and watch a food demonstration from a CCE Nutrition Educator. 

Retail Stores:

• Taste NY in the North Country Welcome Center - Alexandria Bay 
  • 8 AM - 6 PM 
  • Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Watch a charcuterie board demonstration and purchase local goods. 
• The Cheese Store - Watertown 
  • 9 AM - 6 PM 
  • Stop by for special displays, samples, and specials on local goods. 
• Adams Cheese Shop - Adams 
  • 10 AM - 3 PM 
  • Stop by for free cheese samples and local goods. There is a coupon in the brochure! 
• Bechaz Riverdale Cheese - Clayton 
  • 9 AM - 5 PM 
  • Visit their farm stand and see informational displays. 
• 1000 Islands River Rat Cheese - Clayton 
  • 9 AM - 5 PM 
  • Stop by for a cheese aging demonstration!

• Old McDonald's Farm / North Harbor Dairy - Sackets Harbor 
  • 10 AM - 6 PM 
  • Visit them for $5 dairy farm tours with the purchase of admission. Receive 20% off if you book online with the code in the brochure! 
• Grimshaw Farm Stand - Adams 
  • Farm Stand: 7 AM - 7 PM 
  • Farm Tours: 1 PM - 4 PM 
• Country Cousins Farm - Evans Mills 
  • 7 AM - 7 PM 
  • Visit their farm stand, tour their dairy barn, and sample cheese!
