Over the last two years, NY Ag & Markets Veterinarian, Jessica Scillieri Smith and CCE Educator, Betsy Hodge have tested many sheep and goat flocks across the 6 northern New York counties. The objective was to find the prevalence of Johnes Disease and raise awareness. They will be presenting the results of the goat study and information about Johnes Disease in general. In addition, there will be a discussion about what is involved in testing your herd or flock to help eliminate several diseases.
