Energy Opportunities for NYS Farmers

Please join us to learn more about agricultural energy incentives and other opportunities to help save money! 

Our presenters will be discussing the following topics:

  • Energy audits and how they identify energy efficiency improvements
  • Statewide programs that assist in identifying how to save money through increased efficiency
  • Grant and financing opportunities for farms and food businesses to upgrade equipment and install renewable energy projects

Meet our Presenters:

Gabriel Gurley is the Program Manager for Ag Energy NY, a statewide project led by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County to assist farmers is learning about adopting energy efficiencies and renewable energy on their farm. Gabriel will speak about the various resources available to farmers via the Ag Energy NY program as well as various grants / financial assistance available to adopt energy efficiency practices.

Jon Ignatowski is the Manager of Food Systems Business for the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA). Jon assists farms and food businesses by connecting them with funding opportunities and by helping them reduce costs and gain efficiencies. In the presentation, Jon will be talking about the Rural Energy for America Program, and how the program can help farms reduce their energy costs.
