Join us at CCE for a parent-only event covering tough topics to talk about with your teen or tween including:
- Effective communication strategies for difficult or embarrassing conversations
- Internet safety and the risks of social media
- Sex, sexual identity, and relationships
- Drugs, alcohol, and vaping
- Mental health, self-harm, and suicide prevention
Learn how to open the lines of communication before these topics arise to help your teen or tween make safe decisions and manage difficult situations.
Ask our presenter panel of local experts your questions about these tricky topics.
Local experts from North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, Pivot, Anchor Recovery Center of NNY, and the Youth Alliance of Jefferson County.
Each presenter will share evidence-based information on why these topics are relevant and how to engage kids in an open dialogue to promote safety.
Parents will have a chance to ask questions (either anonymously or in-person), and a variety of resources will be on display.
