Regional Clean Energy Hubs

Cornell Cooperative Extension participates in Regional Clean Energy Hubs across New York State. The Hubs were created by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to help residents, businesses, and communities navigate the multitude of clean energy opportunities available to aid in the transition to an inclusive clean energy powered economy. The Hubs help residents connect to clean energy careers, programs for home improvements, available clean energy rebates, and community clean energy campaigns. They also participate in workforce development and make connections with NYSERDA Clean Heat contractors to provide the best service possible to residents, businesses, and communities.

The North Country Clean Energy Hub works with Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex, and Hamilton Counties. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County and the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) partnered to receive the Hub grant through NYSERDA in September 2022.The Hub also partners with CCE St. Lawrence County and SUNY Canton Crest to deliver education to residents and small businesses about EmPower+ and other NYSERDA programming.
