From the Kitchen: Food Waste

  • Wednesday, June 10, 2020, 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM

On this week's From the Kitchen segment, join April and Hannah as they discuss all things food waste, including:

  • How to use all the parts of your food from veggie scraps to meat bones to add free flavor to your food!
  • Turning your trimming into infusions for your flavored water, homemade stock, and more!
  • Saving money on produce and the surprising stems, leaves and roots you might not know you can eat!
  • Getting creative in, and out, of the kitchen to reduce food waste.
  • Environmental benefits of reducing the food that goes to the landfill.
  • How to freeze different foods (and save electricity!).
  • And much more!

They will be sharing their best tips for getting the most out of your fresh food and reducing the amount of food that is wasted from field to table! If you can’t make the live event, feel free to send in your questions in advance through Messenger so we can answer them or leave them in the comments!
