2020 4-H Camp Wabasso Information

Get Connected with 4-H Camp Wabasso! 

**Scholarships are available! The application deadline is April 10th.**

Leader-in-Training (LIT):
The Leader-in-Training classes are for campers who are 13 or 14 years old. LIT classes teach campers many essential life skills to help them become leaders. LIT classes will focus on presenting to a group, teamwork, problem solving, self reflection, conflict resolution and professional development. Campers can sign up for LIT classes by choosing this option on the class preference form when registering for camp.

Junior-Counselor-in-Training (J-CIT):
The Junior Counselor-in-Training program is for campers who are at least 15 years of age and requires an application, an interview and two-week commitment. J-CIT’s pay for one week and then come back another week at a 50% reduced rate. Participants will shadow counselors/leaders to learn teaching techniques and leadership skills to prepare to become future counselors and leaders. Applications due by May 1, 2020.

Senior-Counselor-in-Training (S-CIT):
he Senior-Counselor-in-Training Program is designed for campers who wish to become camp counselors. S-CIT’s must be 16 years of age before camp begins, are required to come every camp session the entire summer at no cost to them, and need to complete an application and interview. Prior participation in the J-CIT (previously CIT III) program is recommended, but not required. Accepted applicants work on projects, assist with camp activities, and help staff give other campers the best week of their summer. Summer Camp Opportunities

Cloverbud Camp:
Campers ages 6-8 can get their first taste of the camp experience. Swim in Millsite Lake, participate in 4-H hands-on educational programs, and enjoy an awesome campfire. This two-day, one-night camp will provide campers with an introduction to what camp has to offer. Drop off is July 2 at 8:30 a.m.; closing ceremony is July 3 at 4:00 p.m.

Cloverbud Plus Camp:
Looking for more than Cloverbud Camp, but not quite ready for the full week? Try this on for size! This three-day, two-night experience will be sure to bring a smile to every camper! Camp activities are designed to give more of the camp experience! There are two sessions per week for girls during weeks 2, 4, and 6 and boys during weeks 3 and 5. Drop off on Sunday or Wednesday will be at 2:00 p.m. Closing ceremony on Tuesday or Friday will be at 4:00 p.m. Limited to 10 campers per session.

Tech Camp:
Soldering, Laser Engraving, Stop Motion Video, Video Game Design and much more. Experience teambuilding, swimming, hiking, boating, paddle boarding and connecting with nature on our 177 acres and ½ mile of beach front! Drop-off on July 5 is at 2:00 p.m. Closing ceremony on July 10 will be at 4:00 p.m.

Residential Camp:
Summer Camp at its finest! Campers enjoy a week-long adventure in the outdoors and are able to choose from our extensive list of activities. Swim in Millsite Lake, take a hike on the nature trail, sing wacky camp songs, and try to keep up with the crazy hijinks of the counselors! Campfires, group competitions, and new friends are waiting at 4-H Camp Wabasso. Camps run Sunday through Friday for youth ages 8-16. Sunday registration is at 2:00 p.m. Friday closing ceremony is at 4:00 p.m.

Traditional Day Camp:
Join us for a week of daily adventures! Each week holds something new for campers ages 8-16 to discover. Day campers get to sign up for the full array of camp offerings, eat lunch in the dining hall, and have the chance for the best outdoor experience of their summer. Campers are dropped off at 8:30 a.m.(8:00 a.m. on Monday) and picked up at 5:00 p.m. (except Friday). Friday closing ceremony is at 4:00 p.m.
